Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is in talks to buy a stake in Koc Holding's supermarket chain, Migros, Turkey's largest retailer, said Honorary Chairman Rahmi Koc.
"Wal-Mart is interested in companies around the world, and that includes us," said Koc, "Our people are talking with them."
Koc Holding, Turkey's largest conglomerate by revenue with interests ranging from carmaking to financial services, is selling units after borrowing to finance the $4.1 billion purchase of the state oil refiner TUPRAS. |
