In Kathmandu, a 16-year old boy believed to be Lord Buddha’s reincarnation returned after disappearing for 9 months on Monday, according to witnesses
Prior to his disappearance, about 100,000 people from Nepal, a vast majority were Hindus, and folks from nearby India went to see him meditate at a distance. They were not permitted to come closer to the boy.
Ram Bahadur Bamjon was seen on Sunday in a forest near Piluwa, village in Bara district, 150 km east of Kathmandu, Reuters was told by local journalist Raju Shrestha.
According to Shrestha, Bamjon told him that when he disappeared last March while meditating sans food and water for about 10 months in the forest near Ratanpuri village,
he was just wandering in the place ever since.
There were hundreds of curious Buddhists and observers flocked to the site to see Bamjon in meditating position. These people were seen with palms pressed together and heads were bowed down showing devotion to the boy.
