France stages anti-PKK operation

   
Those detained are suspected of financing terrorism and money laundering.
French police on Monday detained 13 people in Paris suspected of being members of the outlawed terrorist group the PKK.

According to French police, the 13 were suspected of carrying out money laundering activities and financing terrorism. Of those arrested, 12 were Turkish nationals and one was an Australian citizen, all of Kurdish origin.

“These are people we suspect of funding the PKK,” the Reuters news agency quoted a spokeswoman for the Paris prosecutors.
