South Korea to Allow Wearing of See-through Dresses & Miniskirts

Legislators reach the final revision of an indecency law prohibiting people from wearing see-through or revealing outfits.

Official said the law is once implemented in the 1970’s when the government is under authoritarian rule that allows police to arrest or fine violating women, to cut men’s long hair, and toss incarcerated people for making unauthorized dances.

Official from Korea Legislation Research Institute, Kim Jae- Kwang, states, "The law for excessive exposure does not match our current society,"

The decree remains a scrap of paper when South Korea shifts to democratic form of government in the late 1980s.

Now the see-through dresses and miniskirts are increasingly clashing with the South Korean world of fashion.
