Equipping out kitchen with the best possible tools is an important aspect of home improvement. You don’t want to end up with a fixture or furniture that you can't use, right? One such item you need to install on your kitchen is a stainless steel sink. It's true that there are plenty of options available for a better-looking kitchen -- but this sink can do more for you than its artful counterparts.
Practical Use
If you're looking for a practical use then a stainless steel sink should give you more than what you asked for and more. For starters, the design is themed according to the tasks done in a family kitchen -- a spacious sink that allows you to do any of your chores on it without problems; add-ons to simplify kitchen tasks; a simple design to get rid of the clutter that can get in the way of your kitchen duties and more.
One quality of a stainless steel sink that inspires a lot of promise is the way it is installed on your kitchen's work area or countertop. There are three designs for you to choose from with its unique look, and they are:
1. Inset - this is practically the most common design of stainless steel sink available today -- a common double or single sink design that gives you plenty of space to work with. It is directly installed on top of your work area with a level surface for a streamlined look.
2. Lay-on - if you're looking for additional space on your sink for drying dishes or accommodating other kitchen tasks then this design is your best friend. Somewhat similar to Inset, Lay-on has an additional wing on the side that has an elevated design that is commonly used for drying dishes before transferring them to your cupboard.
3. Undermount - this sink is installed underneath your work area to avoid ruining the design of your kitchen. Those who are not fond of the metallic color of stainless steel might want to try this one out for size.
Durability and Easy Maintenance
Another quality of a stainless steel sink is its durability and easy cleaning. That's right; you need not worry about dents and cracks on its surface since it is durable enough to withstand hardcore kitchen duties easily. Not only that. The smooth surface of the sink allows no stains or grime sticking to its surface -- easy cleaning with soap and water -- no need to purchase expensive cleaning agents to maintain its aesthetic and shiny look.
