Four days short of the four year anniversary of the US-led invasion on Iraq, hundreds of mostly Shiite Iraqis converged on Baghdad after the Friday prayer protesting the US and demanding military headquarters belonging to coalition forces in Sadr city be shut down.
The military headquarters were set up by coalition forces in Sadr city as a watchdog over Shiite fighters and to bar militant operations.
Made up mostly of supporters of Muqtada Al Sadr, the crowd held up banners and chanted for US troops to leave the two million population district and chanted their support for Al Sadr.
