Google’s Agony in China

TechnologyGoogle was probably wishing that its troubles with the Chinese community would disappear. However, events do not seem to cooperate after its main search engine, Google.com had made another foul on the country’s authorities.

Internet users from China reported big problems using the international search engine. This has prompted to a speculation that government censors are disrupting it. On the other hand, China seldom announces which websites are being screened. The problems suffered by Google are similar to other censored sites.

In 2002, Google was blocked entirely. However, it was reinstated after worldwide protests. Meanwhile, loggers suspected that the state was up to its old tricks again because it had been emboldened to act against Google’s main website after the company set up a censored China-based version of its search engine, Google.cn.
